Preparing for the return trip

As we will have two additional passengers on the way back, we spent the day rebuilding the interior of the car and with packing. We removed the bed and mounted the rear seats (which were taken to Banjul by another team with a van), sold lots of stuff that does not fit into the car anymore, and packed the luggage of 4 people into the trunk.

Unfortunately the air flow sensor which should have been waiting for us here in Banjul was not there, despite many people – including the ambassador of The Gambia in the United Nations – being involved in getting it in time. I even tried to buy one from the new owner of another Patrol which was sold here by one of the teams, without success. Thats Africa. Will have to drive slowly at least for the African part of the trip, will try to get a sensor in Casablanca or in Spain.

Departure is tomorrow at 5:30am.
