Two days ago I wrote that we are lucky with the Beast, other teams have much more technical problems. I shouldn’t have written that. Today in the morning the radiator hose broke again (the same one at the same position as yesterday). This time I didn’t rely on an African mechanic and fixed it myself, lets see who is doing the better job. At least it was free of charge this time 😉
Then we had a nice 30km offroad section in a stone desert. Everything was fine and I had a lot of fun driving, but when we stopped for a coffe in the next town I realized that the hinge of the rear right leaf spring flipped over, bent the spring, and damaged its mounting. Now we are in a garage again (fortunately with an Internet cafe next door), without rear right suspension, our spring is at the blacksmith, and we hope it will come back at 4pm. This will be a late arrival at the camp again…
