Finally I found an affordable CB radio, a Stalker IX, the CB staple of the 80s. It smells like an ashtray, must have belonged to a truck driver who just died of lung cancer. I put it out in the fresh air, hope it will not rain in the next days 😉

The other acquisition of the last days are four 16 inch wheel rims instead of the currently mounted 15 inch ones, those should give us a few cm more ground clearance. The rims are from a Mazda B2500, lets see how many different car brands the Beast will be composed of at the end.

The bad news first: although everything seems to work properly, the engine has got much less power than expected. Far too little power. Our mechanic is suspecting some camshaft / timing issue and is investigating.

The (small) good news is that the radiator is not leaking, nor is there any loss of oil.

Finally the radiator has been mounted and the engine is running! First driving tests will follow over the weekend.
