Camera stand

Instead of attaching camera mounts to different parts of the car I decided to buy a professional car stand. It was expensive, but it works perfectly. Here is the result of my first test today (featuring my daughters hands):

Real men don’t read manuals

they try and err until something works, or until they run out of time.

The latter happened to our mechanic now: I bought a workshop manual (yes, you can still find old ones on the Internet, mine is from 1989) to find out what’s wrong with the engine.

Your time has come, Beast, beware of the man with the manual!

This week’s new toys

Finally I found an affordable CB radio, a Stalker IX, the CB staple of the 80s. It smells like an ashtray, must have belonged to a truck driver who just died of lung cancer. I put it out in the fresh air, hope it will not rain in the next days 😉

The other acquisition of the last days are four 16 inch wheel rims instead of the currently mounted 15 inch ones, those should give us a few cm more ground clearance. The rims are from a Mazda B2500, lets see how many different car brands the Beast will be composed of at the end.
