— for outstanding charity work, which we received this year!
Since it is impossible to travel in the city (private cars, cabs, buses are all banned), the closing ceremony had to be moved to the hotel pool. Many teams staying at other hotels could not make it.
You can find a report from the news in Hungarian TV here, we are receiving the award at 1:27.
What a coincidence: Baby Beast, car No. 19, finished the race at the 19th position. Out of 45 teams in racing category. Not bad If I take into account that we skipped 3 difficult stages, had to skip another two because of repairs, and moreover did not take the race very seriously.
We made it! We arrived in Bissau, found rooms in the best hotel in town (thanks to Craig and Michal to go ahead to catch the last rooms) and had our first showers for more than a week. I think I reached my goal of losing 5 kilos just by the weight of the sand I washed off my body.
The crazy car selling bazar started already too, we still have Pajero, but most of the small stuff has gone already. Looking forward to the closing ceremony at 8pm in one of the clubs of Bissau.
