I would like to apologize for the big silence after finishing the B2 2022, and explain the reason of my taciturnity. A few minutes after we had reached the finish line our friend Szabolcs Pétery, one of the organizers of the rally, collapsed next to the finish gate and died from a heart attack shorty after. All the happiness and cheerfulness was suddenly gone, there were no celebrations at the award ceremony in the evening, and no partying in the days after.
We sold our car on the first day (for a very reasonable price), bought flight tickets for Laci and Lackó (I had mine already), and tried to enjoy Freetown as much as possible. For the first time I had a few days in Africa before I had to leave, but for the first time I would have preferred to leave earlier.
