Just out of curiosity I checked the state of my Iran visa application today. I haven’t received any update for 6 months, but when I enter the application ID on the homepage of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it still says “processing”.

Unfortunately the spreading of covid-19 and the lockdowns and border closures make it impossible to travel this year.

For a short time we considered shifting to autumn, but temperatures in Mongolia drop below freezing at the end of September already. Reluctantly we are postponing the trip…

Btw my Iranian visa is still being processed….

Shall we go or shall we postpone? Canceling is not an option, that’s for sure. My Iranian visa application is still being processed, if we decide to go, we will have to think about an alternative route.
