We held a first planning workshop on May 1 and agreed on the approximate dates (mid of June 2020 to mid of July 2020, just in time to watch the Naadam festival in Mongolia) and on the southern route.

There is still the discussion if we want to continue to the Pacific Ocean. Vienna-Vladivostok would sound great, but time is short and its an extra 4000 kilometers through the Siberian forests.

… Janos, my Budapest-Bamako partner of 2015, and Attila, his friend whom I met in 2013 in Bissau, are excited to join.

We have started planning the route, the idea is to take the southern one via Iran, the -stan countries, and Russia. It will probably take around 5 weeks.

Finally, after many years of dreaming and quite a few months of negotiation with my family, the next destination is fixed: Mongolia, in June-July 2020.
